Congratulations to the ESU Junior debating team of Ruth Cameron and Gavin Woolman who competed in the Regional Final at St Thomas Aquinas School, Glasgow. Both speakers are to be congratulated for having achieved so much in this competition – they argued very effectively against much older teams that the House of Lords should not be a fully elected chamber. The judges took an unusually long time to make their decision and in the end put the Dollar team, very narrowly, in second place. We look forward to their many future successes.
