Lifeguarding or Lifesaving is one of the newer curricular activities offered to our 6th form pupils.
It comprises the knowledge of water safety, customer management and spinal injury recovery, e.g. someone has dived into shallow water and may have a severe neck or spinal injury.
Once passed, it can offer our pupils the opportunity of a summer holiday or weekend job while waiting for university to start.
