The Academy’s Pipe Band provided the music for a ceremony in the spectacular setting of Aberdour Castle on a beautiful evening in late April. Members of the congregation of St Fillan’s church handed over a cheque for £6500 to representatives of the Mercy Ships appeal.
The world’s largest charity hospital ship, Africa Mercy, has just set sail on a mission to bring healthcare and development services to some of the poorest people in Africa.
The charity has provided more than £350 million worth of services since its inception in 1978.
