It was a successful day for piper Robbie Jones (Form III and a boarder in Tait House) on 4 March as he won the Under 14 Solo Piping Competition in the George Watson’s Mini Band Competition. Other placed soloists were Euan Tait, Sean Sarafilovic, Fraser Stewart and Tom Hogarth.
In a field of twelve junior bands Dollar achieved a very creditable second place. In the senior band competition, Sean Sarafilovic collected the third shield of the day for the band’s third place in a field of sixteen.
