In October, the Royal Navy section took delivery of a new 5.3
metre rigid inflatable rescue boat. The funds for the boat were
provided by a bequest from the estate of Mr Reginald Price,
FP who was at the Academy during the 1930's, and whose brother
Norman Price was killed at sea during the Second World War.
The boat will support the waterborne activities of the section
as a rescue and safety boat, and will also be used for powered
craft training, seamanship and navigation training.
It is an outstanding addition to the section and will provide
exciting opportunities and experiences for our cadets. We are
deeply grateful to the Price family for this most generous and
thoughtful contribution.
