Mr John Cameron, Chairman of the Governors of Dollar Academy, reached the North Pole and flew the Dollar flag. Because of bad weather, the Russian icebreaker did not do the usual thing of stopping 40 miles short and sending people on by helicopter. As a result, the icebreaker made its way right through to the North Pole on its own, although you will see from one of the photographs that it needed some extra assistance. This is apparently only the third time in history that an icebreaker has made it to the Pole.
