First Aid
First Aid has been part of the Junior 2 PSE curriculum for some 12 years now, taught by the ever-youthful Mr. Peter Allam. This year, however, his enforced absence meant that the school nurse, Mrs. Jean Dunnet, was invited to run the course. Each class in turn broadened its knowledge and learnt the first steps necessary to administer medical help when required. Practical work figured largely and was greatly enjoyed. At the close of the course, each child was presented with a pocket-sized card from the British Red Cross to acknowledge that s/he had participated in the ‘Save a Life’ course.
