Junior School Tennis
Mrs Karen Thomson, who currently teaches in the Prep School, ran a most successful tennis club during the Summer Term for a large number of keen tennis players from the Junior School. Meeting during Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes, many girls enjoyed Mrs Thomson’s coaching and several were chosen to represent Dollar in matches and tournaments.
Our photograph shows members of the winning team at the Morrison’s Academy Primary Invitation Tournament when the first couple was Lindsay Duff (Captain) and Catriona Thomson and the second couple was Alix Brewster and Cerys Williams. Both couples won their section of the tournament and were delighted to be overall winners of their first ever tennis tournament!
The results of their other fixtures during the course of the term were as follows:
Kilgraston Tournament - reached semi-finals
Mary Erskine School – lost 15-17
Craigclowan – lost 9-3
The Junior School staff look forward to hearing of the progress of these girls as they move through the school.
