Information on Buses from Bannockburn and Dunblane

Overcrowding on the Dunblane bus, and pupils left at the bus stop should cease at the end of this week.  First Group will have a second bus on the morning Dunblane to Dollar run as from Monday, 25 September.  It will run to the same timetable as the first bus in order to comply with Traffic Regulations.

It has come to our attention that the morning services to Dollar Academy from Bannockburn and Dunblane are overcrowded. First Group drivers have been instructed not to exceed the safe number of passengers on the bus. As a result pupils from stops nearer the Academy on these routes may not be picked up in the mornings as things stand.

Dr Hendry is in discussions with the bus company who are looking to a permanent solution by the start of October and to an interim solution possibly by next week.

Unfortunately it is only with the start of the new academic session that the number of bus passengers becomes known.
