Prep 3 – Lunch at the Castle Campbell

Prep 3 were invited to have lunch with the Dollar Luncheon Club at the Castle Campbell Hotel as part of their topic on Grandparents.

They have been finding out what life was like when their grandparents were little boys and girls. The children have spent sometime interviewing their own Grandparents and really appreciated the opportunity to meet with some of Dollar’s Grandparents too. This first hand experience has greatly enhanced the children’s sense of the past. We now look forward to making this an annual date in the Prep 3 calendar!

Pupil Accounts of the Lunch

On Monday 21st May we went to the Castle Campbell Hotel for lunch. I had great fun talking to the old people. They were very nice and had lots to say. The food was delicious. I love shepherd’s pie and the pudding was very nice. I found out a lot of things.

On Monday 21st May we went to the Castle Campbell Hotel for lunch. I thought it was the best lunch ever. I talked to someone called Sheila, she was very nice. For lunch we had shepherd’s pie, it was delicious and for dessert we had sponge cake with custard and jam. I thought it was very lovely. I asked Sheila lots of questions. I brought a camera and took some photos of some other people.
