This year’s Form VI Advanced Higher art class were each asked to create a panel to go up in the Playfair building. They were to paint in black and white, and to use the human figure as well as objects and abstract shapes, to create a fragmented image. The paintings are now up, and make an excellent addition to the main school.
Since the opening of the new Maguire building, Form VI pupils have enjoyed having their own studio to work in. Each Advanced Higher pupil has their own area in which to work, giving them room to explore their own ideas and spend more time on their paintings.
