Prep 1 and Form VI Teddy Bears' Picnic

Teddy Bears’ Picnic

The annual lunchtime picnic for Prep 1 and Form VI took place on the grass outside the Home Economics Department. Pupils and staff came to the picnic clutching teddies of all shapes and sizes. The rain went off just in time for lunch and we managed to squeeze all the Prep 1 pupils into the gazebo which we had borrowed for the event. Form VI had prepared most of the food for the picnic including 300 mini pizzas and over 100 individual sponge buns which were transformed into strawberry cream buns on the day. Sweet and savoury food quickly disappeared from the buffet table as pupils filled their plates. The fruit kebabs and marshmallow top hats proved very popular with Prep 1 pupils. At the end of the picnic, each Prep 1 pupil was given a Teddy Bear place mat and one lucky pupil had the winning number on the back of his place mat. His prize of course was a teddy. After the picnic was over the Home Economics room was quickly returned to normality with the help of some senior pupils.
