The Gymnastics and Dance Display was held for the first time in our impressive new gym in the Maguire Building. The display involved numerous, very talented pupils from Junior 1 to Form VI and was organised by Mrs Verity Smith in the P.E department who runs the school Gymnastics Club. Pupils performed to the Prep and Junior School classes as well as parents and displayed a variety of dancing styles namely tap dancing, modern dance, belly dancing, highland dancing and ballroom dancing. The gymnasts were involved in individual floor routines, partner and group apparatus routines and sports acrobatics. We were fortunate to start off the display with a Special Performance of “The Matrix” by the Spartans Gymnastics Club, Dunfermline who were simply outstanding and very enjoyable to watch. David Croxford (Form IV) featured in this display and special thanks must go to him for helping persuade his club members to come to Dollar to perform. The Prep and Junior School pupils thoroughly enjoyed this event and no doubt we will see many of them perform in a display in the near future.
