Dollar XI 3 St. Leonards 1
Dollar controlled the game from the start with good passing and confidence. Robbie Hay opened the scoring to give Dollar an early lead. Dollar continued to press St. Leonards’ defence, and Joe Awuse scored a second goal for Dollar. In the second half, St. Leonards managed to get a goal back which was then cancelled out by a magnificent solo run and goal from Jonny Mallet to give Dollar a 3 - 1 lead. All round, Dollar's defence was too solid for St.Leonards, and their attack too strong.

1st XI v St. Leonard’s School
From the start, Dollar looked comfortable on the ball, and were passing it about well. They kept the ball in their opponent’s half and got an early goal. Due to an error in communication, St. Leonard’s got a goal back after a throw-in was intercepted. Dollar stayed calm and quickly got a goal to put them back in the lead. After that, the game was dominated by Dollar who kept the ball and tackled well with a solid defence and midfield. As the game went on, three more goals came naturally through good pieces of play and good vision from the players. Goal scorers were Jonny Mallet, Robbie Hay and Joe Awuse.

1st XI v Q.V.S.
The game had an electric start as there were 4 goals within the first 15 minutes. By half time there had already been 10 goals with the score 6 - 4 in Q.V.S’s favour. Both teams fought hard, but in the end Q.V.S. came off the better team. Goal scorers were Robbie Hay (3), Bobby Caldwell and Jonny Mallet.

1st XI v Gordonstoun School
After a long bus journey up to Gordonstoun, the team were given a shock as the Gordonstoun team scored 3 goals within the first ten minutes of play. Instead of crumbling, the team fought back and managed to pull 2 goals back, both scored by Bobby Caldwell. In the end the game was out of Dollar’s reach, and their opponents scored once again to make the final score 4 - 2.

1st XI v Alva Academy
Dollar, after a slow start to the game, showed real determination and fight to save a draw in this opening match. They trailed 2 - 1 at half time, then 4 - 1 with twenty minutes to go. The team showed that they would not lie down and give up, but fought back, and hopefully set up what looks to be a promising season. Goalscorers were Jonny Mallet, Robbie Hay, Bobby Cauldwell and Joe Awuse.

1st XI v Dollar Glen
In the 1st XI's second friendly of the season, the team once again showed a great team spirit and attitude as they managed to salvage a draw against their opponents. Although the 1st XI took an early lead through Joe Awuse, Dollar Glen had the upper hand after 35 minutes. The 1st XI went down to ten men as Jonny Mallet got sent off after two yellow cards. After 10 minutes of the second half Dollar Glen went 2 - 1 up and applied pressure. The 1st XI showed their strength in defence and did not back down, but went full out in attack. With 10 minutes to go Andrew Cullens got the equaliser, and the team held on for the draw.

Dollar 1st XI 2 Dundee High School 5
In the first game of the league Dollar were hoping to get their campaign off to a flying start after good results in previous friendly games. In the first half, Dollar took the lead through a goal from Joe Awuse. Dollar looked comfortable for the first 35 minutes, but then lost 2 goals to Dundee who lead at half time. In the second half Dollar were simply outplayed by their opponents who managed to then score 3 more goals, despite Dollar’s best efforts to pull the game back with Joe Awuse getting a second goal.
