Dollar’s chairman of Governors Mr John Cameron, and his wife Margaret, have set up a Trust designed to benefit students of agriculture and pupils attending Dollar Academy. With over £1 million already in the Trust, the aim is to provide travel scholarships for pupils attending Dollar Academy who wish to explore innovative projects, activities and plans which will involve travel abroad. The successful pupils will be those whose plans are innovative and far-reaching, and the Trustees aim particularly to support students who would not be able to afford to fund such trips themselves.
Future generations of Dollar Academy pupils will stand to benefit greatly from John and Margaret Cameron’s generosity. Further details about the methods of making application will be published by October 2007.
